Another Renegade Review:

Performance Features

SUVs are known for having advanced powertrain features, so let’s head right under the hood and see what you can expect from the Renegade and the Soul. While these vehicles have a standard engine, and an available engine, we’re going to need to look into how they perform.

With the Renegade, you’ll get a standard 2.4L Tigershark® MultiAir® 2 engine, which produces 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque capability. The standard engine with the Soul is the 2.0L 4-Cylinder engine, which falls short only delivering 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque capability.

When it comes to available engines, the Renegade model’s available 1.3L 4-Cylinder Turbo engine with Direct Injection delivers a whopping 210 lb-ft of torque. Over in the Soul, the available 1.6L In-line 4-cylinder with Turbocharger engine only delivers 195 lb-ft of torque.

Traction and Stability Control

The 2020 Renegade has two different available all-wheel drive systems, the Jeep Active Drive 4x4 system, and the available Jeep Active Drive Low system. There’s also an available Selec-Terrain® Traction Management system, which can adapt to the surface your traveling on, like sand, mud, and rock.

The 2020 Soul only offers one available all-wheel drive system, and doesn’t offer a terrain management system.

Interior Cabin Space and Dimensions

Now, let’s head right inside and check out the interior cabin space you can expect to find. Both SUVs boast about 100 cubic feet of interior cabin space. What does that mean for each individual passenger?
