Jeep Cherokee vs Jeep Compass
The Jeep Compass runs on a sporty 2.4L Tigershark® MultiAir®2 4-cylinder engine. It delivers a fun and efficient drive with 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission comes standard, but both a 6-speed and 9-speed automatic transmission are also available.
This powertrain comes in handy on your commute, and any road trips you’re taking. It offers an EPA-estimated 23 city and a best-in-class 32 highway MPG. Plus, with a 2,000-pound towing capacity, you can count on it to carry a fishing boat, utility trailer, or a couple jet skis.
You can load lots of cargo inside, too. The Jeep Compass comes with large trunk that features 27.2 cubic feet of cargo room. While that should give you enough space for all your groceries and golf bags, folding second-row seats are available to help you make more than double the space. With the back row folded down, you’ll have up to 59.8 cubic feet of cargo room.
With the backseats upright, the cabin features seating for five. Both rows offer a comfortable ride with 41.8 inches of legroom up front and 38.3 inches of legroom in the second row.
The Jeep Compass is prepared for both city driving and off-roading adventures. Front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard, but two four-wheel drive (4WD) systems are available.
Jeep Active Drive is an adaptable system that lets you adjust the drivetrain with the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System. It features selectable driving modes, such as sand, mud, and rock. Jeep Active Drive Low gives you an even more versatile performance, with an extra low range of gears.
On top of providing you with traction and stability, the Jeep Compass also offers peace of mind. It helps you avoid accidents with driver-assisting features like a Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning, and Blind Spot Monitoring.
There’s also plenty of technology that’ll make your drive more fun. The infotainment system features a sharp touchscreen in the center of the dashboard. It offers lots of smartphone compatibility with Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™.
You’ll also have lots of music to choose from with SiriusXM® Radio. It even offers a navigational system that can guide you with turn-by-turn directions. Plus, with voice command, you can control the whole system without taking your hands off the wheel.
